la Masterpieces
Inspired by my love of fine art, in this social media campaign I recreated famous french masterpieces with a la Madeleine twist. Using gouache, these hand-painted parodies add la Madeleine menu items into each scene, and the canvases themselves are paper bakery packaging.
Seen above is an example of the original piece, Woman with a Parasol Facing Left, by Claude Monet. Juxtaposed on the right is my hand-painted parody, imagining that our longing friend might take a seat at a small table and enjoy a nice caesar salad on a sunny day. This entire project was completed by using analog techniques; nothing but my brush and a dream.
