Black Tie Dinner

Black Tie Dinner is the nation’s largest non-profit fundraising dinner for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) community. In 2021 and 2021, I had the privilege of being the Art Director for the events as well as all proceeding event’s leading up to the dinners. The creative consisted of creating a logo and brand identity that could be utilized by volunteers on event promotional material, social media posts and signage at the events.

Because 2021 was the 40th anniversary of the event, the logo needed to be something special. I created this pseudo-3D design that conveys elegance and class, with a color palette of ruby red tones to seal the deal.

After designing the branding, I used the style system I created to build out promotional material and collateral at the event. Below are examples of social media posts, and some great photos of the dinner itself.

2022 Power of Pride

After the 40th anniversary season, I also created the design system for the 41st, Power of Pride. The challenge here was to use all colors of the rainbow in an appealing and elevated way. We landed on a theme of neon and lights, and the designs fell into place from there.
